THE MEMORY KEEPERS & FUTURE SEEKERS

launching 2024

Visual and literary portraits of the 300+ year old homes in Goa, India that were built during the colonial Portuguese era (1510-1961). An exploration of cultural heritage, identity and belonging, history, architecture and anthropology. A layered narrative that focuses on stories of families and fragments of memories; while also touching upon the historical, cultural, political, economic, social and religious moments that shaped Goa.

In these portraits of Goa’s longstanding homes, the blur of past, present and future come gently into focus, framed through the powerful lens of time.
